Sligo in London

Great to see Sligo with their Mayor Marie Cassidy out in force in London with over 200 people at their event in the Bloomsbury Hotel recently and particularly honoured to be asked to present to them. A great example that Diaspora engagement is all about place and that place may not be a country but a region, city,  location or organisation. Good, also, to see Ambassador Dan Mulhall speaking before he heads off to be our next Ambassador to the US – interesting times indeed. Sligo are joining Limerick, Cork, Mayo, Donegal and others who are developing interesting and innovative ways to identify and engage their Diasporas. This is a journey and good to see Sligo embark on it.
